The soundtrack to the “Twilight” sequel “New Moon” debuts at #2 with 115,000 copies despite a short sales week from an early Friday release. MICHAEL BUBLÉ held onto the top spot though, after moving another 203,000 copies of his album “Crazy Love”.

(–”New Moon’s” only competition for the top spot next week will be a new disc from TIM MCGRAW, so look for it at #1 in a week.) Here are your Top 10 albums . . .

The Miami Dolphins are adding yet another celebrity to their list of minority owners.

FERGIE from the BLACK EYED PEAS will join Marc Anthony, Gloria Estefan, Jimmy Buffet and Venus and Serena Williams as part owner of the team.

This is all basically a marketing ploy on the part of the Dolphins to attract a more diverse crowd.

You’re not going to see Fergie making draft picks or anything. Her “ownership” basically just means she’ll make appearances at home games . . . and maybe she’ll sing the national anthem at some point.

In related news, RUSH LIMBAUGH has been DUMPED from the group that’s trying to buy the St. Louis Rams . . because his inclusion was causing too much of a distraction to their efforts.

So the NFL is cool with Fergie having a piece of a team . . . but not Rush Limbaugh??? If Rush didn’t think the Black Eyed Peas were overrated before, you can bet he does now.

COLBIE CAILLAT has scored her first #1 debut. Her second album, “Breakthrough”, sold 106,000 copies this past week. It was one of five new albums to crack the Top 10, including a new Wal-Mart exclusive EP from MILEY CYRUS… Next week we hop to see Whitney Houston and Pitbull in the top 10 as well.

Wanna-be celebrity PEREZ HILTON says he was assaulted by WILL.I.AM of the BLACK EYED PEAS last night.

This come from Perez’s own Twitter account, so please feel free to take this with a HUGE pinch of salt . . . since everything Perez does ultimately has one purpose, and one purpose only: publicity for Perez Hilton.

But around 12:30 AM Pacific Time last night, Perez ‘tweeted’ a series of messages alleging that Will.I.Am had assaulted him, and they went like this:

–”I’m in shock. I need the police ASAP. Please come to the SoHo Metropolitan Hotel now. Please.”

–”I spoke to my lawyer. I really need to talk to the authorities. Please come to the SoHo Met Hotel. Have called the police. Need them here.”

–”Still waiting for the police. The bleeding has stopped. I need to document this. Please, can the police come to the SoHo Met Hotel.”

–”I was assaulted by Will.I.Am of the Black Eyed Peas and his security guards. I am bleeding. Please, I need to file a police report. No joke.”

And the last message Perez posted before THAT was two hours before, about how to find a place to hang out and party that was, quote, “fun but be safe”. Guess that didn’t work out so well.

Anyway, no word on the reasoning behind the altercation, or why SOMEONE finally took the opportunity to shut Perez up. But we’ll let you know when we know.

THE BLACK EYED PEAS just scored their best sales week ever after moving 304,000 copies of their new disc, “The E.N.D.”.

That gives them the new #1 album in the country and their highest charting album.

Previous Black Eyed Peas albums “Monkey Business” peaked at #2 and “Elephunk” never made it past #14

Week Ending May 31, 2009: “Boom Boom Pow” Sets Digital Record

Black Eyed Peas’ “Boom Boom Pow” becomes the first song in digital history to spend its first nine weeks of release as the most-downloaded song in America.

This tops a record set in 2005 by “Candy Shop” by 50 Cent featuring Olivia, which spent its first eight weeks at #1 on Billboard’s Hot Digital Songs chart.

“Boom Boom Pow” sold 220,000 downloads this week, bringing its total to 2,381,000. This week, it surpasses “My Humps” as the Peas’ song with the most paid downloads. (“My Humps” has sold 2,203,000 digital copies since its release in 2005.)

“Candy Shop” was the lead single from 50 Cent’s The Massacre album, which sold a staggering 1,912,000 copies in its first two weeks. No one expects a tally remotely like that for Black Eyed Peas’ album, The E.N.D. (Energy Never Dies), which is due in stores next week. But it is on target to become the group’s first #1 album. The group’s last album, Monkey Business, debuted and peaked at #2 in June 2005.
