Ayo, “Chronicle” was the sh*t!. It narrowly beat DANIEL RADCLIFFE’S “The Woman in Black” this weekend, $22 million to $21 million. Chronicle deserves a sequel! The only other new wide-release was that whale rescue movie “Big Miracle”, which made $8.5 million in 4th place.

Sam Worthington climbs onto the ledge of a New York high rise to commit suicide after escaping from prison . . . but it’s just a ploy to distract the police so his brother can prove he’s innocent.

–Jamie Bell from “Billy Elliott” plays his brother, Elizabeth Banks is the police negotiator trying to get him off the ledge, and Ed Harris is the guy who framed him.

Liam Neeson’s plane crashes in the Alaskan wilderness, a pack of wolves attacks the survivors, and he has to lead everyone back to civilization . . . with the wolves hunting them.

–It looks pretty intense . . . especially the scene where he wraps his hands in broken glass to attack a wolf with just a knife and his BARE HANDS.

Katherine Heigl is Stephanie Plum, the female bounty hunter from Janet Evanovich’s 18-book mystery series . . . the one where each book in the series has a corny title with the number in it:  “One for the Money”, “Two for the Dough”, “Three to Get Deadly”, etc.

–She goes from unemployed lingerie salesgirl to bails bondswoman, then uses her rookie skills to go after a $50,000 bounty on her old high school boyfriend.

–“Terra Nova’s” Jason O’Mara is the fugitive ex-boyfriend, and Sherri Shepherd from “The View” is the  hooker helping Stephanie track him down.

BRADLEY COOPER, ZACH GALIFIANAKIS and ED HELMS are asking for $15 million EACH to star in “The Hangover 3″ . . . plus a cut of the profits.  And the studio is likely to give it to them.

–They didn’t even get $1 million each for the first movie.  But after it went on to gross $467 million, they were in a better position to bargain for the sequel. 

–Their salaries went up to $5 million apiece for “The Hangover Part 2″ . . . but with profit participation, they ended up banking somewhere in the mid-teens.  The movie grossed $581 million.

–The third installment is expected to be in theaters on Memorial Day of 2013.  It’ll be set in Los Angeles and will NOT follow the same formula of the first two, where they wake up from blackouts and have to figure out what they did the night before.

Kid Cudi reportedly flew into a rage and knocked over stage equipment at an Australian music festival after organizers cut short his headline set due to time restrictions. Cudi was the closing act at The Heatwave Music Festival in Melbourne on Sunday, but after getting halfway through his set list, he was asked to end the show. Bad organization reportedly led to the event kicking off three hours late, shortening the length of performers’ sets throughout the night. Cudi was one of the main acts effected by the delay and, angered by the abrupt end to his gig, he threw an expensive tantrum. Not only did he thrash stage equiptment… including lights and speakers, but he also just walked off stage. Fans were so upset about the short set that they started shouting demands for refunds and threw plastic bottles at the stage. Chamillionaire was a no-show for his set at the same festival.

“If my set is EVER cut short at any show, I’m trashing the stage.  Not out of anger . . . it takes a lot to get me furious nowadays . . . but out of principle.

–”The fans always deserve a full set at all shows, especially when they spend their hard-earned money on expensive tickets.  A lot of artists wouldn’t do what I did in Australia, but I will.  Spread the word.

–”No matter the circumstance, [if you] cut my set short, I’m breaking [stuff] . . . and next time I’m startin’ a riot.  Me and my fans.

–”‘Cause promoters will sometimes take advantage of the artists, and you gotta let ‘em know what time it is.  Cutting nobody any slack.”

Just 48 hours after reopening, Jay-Z’s 40/40 Club in Manhattan has been shut down due to numerous health code violations. The New York Post reports the city’s Department of Health and Mental Hygiene issued the 40/40 69 violation points, including violations for workers using their hands to prepare foods and poor refrigeration. The violations ranged from hot food being let out on the counter … to a refrigerator being kept at 60 degrees instead of 41 … to a worker seen mixing salsa with his bare hands.

“If you have a walk-in place with food like this, you put a hell of a lot of people at risk,” an anonymous source said. “A night of dinner and dancing should not include the risk of contracting food-borne illness.” The club literally just reopened last week following significant renovations … and hosted a huge, well attended reopening event that was crawling with celebrities.

Cuba Gooding Jr. and Terrence Howard star in this World War Two movie about the black pilots of the experimental Tuskegee training program.  Method Man, NeYo, and “NCIS: Los Angeles” minx Daniela Ruah are also in it.

–The Tuskegee Airmen were the first all African American aerial combat unit, and they got their chance to prove themselves during the middle of the war, when all the white pilots kept failing to protect the few allied bombers we had left.

“Haywire“  (R)  (Trailer)

MMA hot chick Gina Carano makes her acting debut as a CIA operative who’s double-crossed by Ewan McGregor and framed for murder.  She does most of her own stunts, and they didn’t use special effects for any of her fight scenes.

–It also stars Michael Douglas, Michael Fassbender, Antonio Banderas, and Channing Tatum, and it’s directed by “Traffic’s” Steven Soderbergh.

“Underworld: Awakening“  (R)  (Trailer)

Kate Beckinsale returns as the vampire Selene, who’s been held captive by humans for 12 years.  They know about lycans and vampires now, and are hunting them down while experimenting on Selene to find a way to prevent “infection.”

–A little girl helps her escape, and Selene hooks up with the surviving vampires to fight her human captors.

–This is the fourth “Underworld” movie and the first to be shot in 3D.  Selene was the star of the first two movies, but the third was a prequel, so she wasn’t in that one.  (–You can watch a trailer which recaps the events of the first three films here.)
