LGBT. Wait Wait Wait! Don’t leave yet. There’s a must watch movie by the name of “Pariah“. This movie is beautifully written and directed by Dee Rees. It tells a story of a 17-year old African American teenager embracing her identity as  a lesbian.

This drama filled movie appealed to the masses at the film festivals across the world. London, Sundance, and Toronto film festivals were a major impact just to name a few. Kim Wayans is a name you may be familar with. She did a phenominal job in her role as the mother, Audrey. Her performance reminded you of the riveting movie “The Help”. Very strong and oscar like.

The reason you will relate to this movie is because of the hurt displayed, the comical expressions, the family moments, and just your experience with life. It will open your eyes to what really goes on in the communities we live in. PARIAH- Any person or animal that is usually despised or avoided; Usually meaning outkast.
